Arthur O. Pontoni

Arthur O. Pontoni passed away at Presbyterian Home of South Carolina Healthcare on September 27, 2011, his residence since 2007.

He was born October 15, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio; son of the late Otto Pontoni and Mary Skolaris.

Arthur was preceded in death in November 2000 by his devoted wife, Mae Louella Pontoni, wed on August 30, 1947, also his son Charles. He is survived by his second wife, Marilyn Ruth Wyatt, married October 19, 2002.

He attended Cathedral Latin High School and later served in Department of the Navy, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines during World War II.

After serving his country, Arthur graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in Physics.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mary Lou Steele of Ingleside, IL, Margaret Meyers of Roselle Park, NJ and Nancy Pontoni Fleming of Aurora, CO as well as his sister Chick in Euclid, Ohio; five grandchildren and one great grandson.

Visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Monday, Dec. 5, from 10AM -1PM with the Catholic Funeral Rite to begin at 1PM in the funeral home.
