Carol R. Mccormack

Carol R. Rice McCormack, formerly of Hanover Township in Bethlehem and of Hellertown, died on Monday, March 10, 2008, at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth.

Carol was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth M. Becker Rice and the widow of the late Walter R. McCormack, who died in June 1986. She was born in New York City, NY and was an alumna of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Eden Hall, in Torresdale, PA, and of Marymount College, in Tarrytown, NY. Carol worked for Time Inc. prior to her marriage to Walter and then for many years as a Real Estate Agent in the Lehigh Valley.

Carol was devoted to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her sons, W. Russell McCormack and wife Joni of Pittsburgh, Edward R. McCormack of East Stroudsburg, two daughters, Elizabeth M. Jones wife of Peter W. of Bethlehem and Cathleen A. McCormack of Harrisburg. In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren: Zachary, Tracy, Shane, Joshua, Jacob and John Peter.

Not only was she fortunate to have a large group of friends who will miss her very much, but also an adopted family at Moravian Hall Square who befriended Carol during the last few years. The family greatly appreciates their kindness, love and support.

Carol is predeceased by her husband, parents and two brothers Edward and Donald R. Rice.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 23 Forest Dr., Nazareth, PA 18064 at 10:00 AM.

Private Internment at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
