Edmund W. Reybitz

Edmund W. Reybitz, 95, of Bethlehem and longtime resident of Kirkland Village, died Monday, January 9, 2017 at Kirkland Village. Born January 7, 1922 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Pauline and Andrew Reybitz. Edmund was married to Claire M. (Baur) Reybitz with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage until her death on February 2, 2004.

Edmund worked for Bethlehem Steel retiring after 42 years of service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. Edmund was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He was an avid golfer and had a passion for gardening, starting many of the gardens at Kirkland Village.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Barbara Reybitz and husband, Dennis Podhayny, son, Edmund Reybitz, son in law, James DiGiacinto, daughter in law, Lauren Reybitz, six grandchildren, Christine and husband Terry, Catherine, Drew, Megan and husband Todd, Emily and Matthew and three great grandchildren, Luke, Rose Marie and Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Anne DiGiacinto, five brothers and six sisters.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:30-10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Ghost Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edmunds name to Kirkland Village Benevolent Care Fund, One Kirkland Village Circle, Bethlehem, PA 18017 or to Holy Ghost Catholic Church.
