Edward Eugene Altemus

Edward E. Altemus, Sr., 91, of Bethlehem, died November 14, 2009 at Old Orchard, Easton. Born in Quakertown on May 31, 1918; he was the son of the late James and Catherine Bruger Altemus. He was the husband of the late Ida Ottenburg Altemus. They were married for 59 years.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel for 37 years, a member of the MORA Club, and served as an usher at both St. Anne's and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Churches.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, David and wife Cindy of Bethlehem Township, and Edward Jr. of Houston, TX, brother, Richard and wife Barbara of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Carrie, David, Jr., Mark, and Matt, and great-grandchildren, Abigail and Brandon. He was preceded in death by five brothers, and granddaughter, Jaime.
