Francis T. Connors

Francis T. "Reds" Connors, 90, of Bethlehem; died on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John E. and Ellen Maria Weaver Connors. He was the husband of the late Katiemarie Corroda Connors.

Francis was a Bethlehem Firefighter for 28 years, retiring as an inspector. He also worked for Wal-Mart Security for 13 years, was the Supervisor of Security for K-Mart for two years, Globe Security for 12 years, Laneco Security for seven years and was a Crossing Guard for the city of Bethlehem for two years.

Francis proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army.



He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Francine A., wife of James Horvath of Walnutport; grandson, Brian Horvath, nephews and nieces, Joe Reszek, Joanne Reszek, Jackie and Maria Connors, Beth Corroda and her husband, Jeff Bloom, Anthony, and his wife, Sarah, Amy, wife of Gary Moll and two grand-nieces-Isabelle and Sabrina Moll.

He was preceded in death by, his wife, Leona Pcichoda Connors, brothers, John and James Connors sister, Marie Reszek and nephew, Brian Connors.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 12 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA. Visitation will be from 11-12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
