Franklin Baker Meadows, 59, passed away suddenly on Friday November 25, 2011 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, Pa. He was born on October 10, 1952 in Palmer Township, Pa, son of the late Umberto and Eleanor Baker Meadows. Frank and his wife, Barbara O'Donnell Meadows, celebrated 32 wonderful years of marriage on June 16, 2011.
Frank had a long career with a large telecommunications company. He recently retired to spend more time with his family, whom he cherished above all else. A kind and generous man to everyone, Frank was an especially devoted husband and father. Both his wife, Barbara, and his daughter, Alyssa Brianna Meadows, a budding photographer in her senior year at Penn State University, brought him much joy and filled him with a sense of great pride and love. They, too, will lovingly remember Frank as both the loyal, strong, and protective father and husband that he always was, as well as the wonderful man who willingly shared his most treasured gift, his beautiful soul, with them.
The description most often offered by those who knew him best was always the same; Frank had a deceptively rough exterior that simply failed to hide his heart of gold. Intent on leaving this world just a little better than he found it, Frank succeeded in many ways. He will be remembered as a gifted, talented, and remarkable person, and a genuinely good and decent man.
A Memorial Service will be held 8PM Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Callings hours will be from 6-8PM preceding the Memorial Service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
