Helen M. Shunk

Helen M. Shunk, 91, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, September 7, 2006, at Manor Care Health Services II in Bethlehem. Born February 10, 1915, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Karoly and Anna Doncsecz. She was the loving wife of the late William R. Shunk, Sr. who died in 1990. Helen was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Bethlehem where she was very active and a former member of the sodality. She will be lovingly remembered by, her sons, William R. Shunk, Jr. & wife Shirley of Bethlehem; James Shunk of Paupack, PA.; daughter, Alice Soplop & husband David of Wilson, PA; brother, Charles Doncsecz & wife Gloria of Bethlehem, PA; sister, Anna Marshalek of Bethlehem, PA; sisters-in-law, Helen Martin and Genevieve Buragino both of Bethlehem, and ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: brothers-Frank and Steven Doncsecz and a sister, Mary Yuhasz. Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Monday, September 11, 2006 at 9:30 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 416 East Fifth St. Bethlehem.

Visitation will be held, Sunday, September 10, 2006 from 6-8 PM and from 8:30-9:30 AM Monday, both in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem. Memorials may be made to the church.
