Helen Marie Walko Glovas, 83, of Bethlehem, went to be with our Saviour and Redeemer on November 26, 2009. She passed away peacefully in her home with her husband at her side.
Helen was born in Bethlehem, and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Jenny Pianoski Walko.
She graduated from Liberty High School, The Bethlehem Business School, and worked for Morelle Insulation Co.
Helen was a life long member of St. Stanislaus Church in Bethlehem.
She was a homemaker, was devoted to her family, and treasured spending time with them.
Helen enjoyed embroidering, feeding the wild birds, and valued her friends near and far. Some of her other interests and hobbies included her church, music, astronomy, walking, collecting angel statues, and writing to her many pen pals.
She had a heart for nature and all of God's creations, owned cats and dogs and many other animals her whole life, and treated them with love and compassion. Her three cats will miss her dearly. Helen lived her life with faith in God, adored God's angels; saw the good side of each person, and the humor in every situation by looking at the bright side of life. She was kind to all, laughed often, always had a smile, and enjoyed chatting with everyone.
Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Stephen M. Glovas; son, Gregory S. Glovas and his wife Nadine, grandson Christopher, and great granddaughter Delilah, all of Danielsville; daughter, Geralyn M. Kasman Miller and her husband Mark, and grandson Kyle of Bethlehem.
A brother, Edward Walko preceded her in death.
