Louis Lopez

Louis Lopez, 91, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Luis and Marina (Perez) Lopez. He was the loving husband to Loretta (DeFulvio) Nuno Lopez for 30 years.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Lou honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Philippines and the Korean War. He was a member of the LSM/Naval Amphibious Assoc. and the MORA Club. He played city league softball for many years.

Louis was employed as a Foreman at Bethlehem Steel in the Maintenance Division, retiring after 30 years. He worked as an electrician for various contractors in the area.

Lou was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; daughters, Sandra, wife of James Hintze, Linda Lopez; step-son, Enrique Nuno, son, Jeff Lopez, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Carrillo and his brother, Manuel.

Services: A calling hour will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 10-11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
