Michael Scott Grys

Michael Scott Grys, 47, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 after sustaining injuries from a car accident. Born on August 15, 1974, he was the son of Maria Popowycz and Walter Grys.

Michael loved camping with his father, family meant everything to him. He was a lifelong volunteer and took great pride in pleasing people. Michael enjoyed entertaining; he would play Uno on Sundays with the ladies at Cedar View. The Eagles were Michaels favorite sports team to cheer on and his favorite artist was Carrie Underwood.

Michael touched a lot of people throughout his life and that is how he will be remembered. He will be dearly missed by so many.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Maria Popowycz; brother, Christopher (Elizabeth) Grys; sister, Stephanie (Justin) Crosby; two nieces, Gabrielle and Meghan Grys; and his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter and his grandparents.

There will be a viewing on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 6-7:30 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a prayer service to follow. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Mercy School for Special Learning Center, 830 S. Woodward St., Allentown, PA 18103 in order to create a memorial in Michaels memory.
