Ray J. Ueberroth

Ray J. Ueberroth, 72, of Hellertown, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born in Colesville, he was the son of the late James and Mabel Frick Ueberroth.

Ray graduated from Liberty High School in 1954 and Muhlenberg College in 1962.

He taught Junior High School in Maryland for many years and later became Superintendent of High Schools in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

He was a past president and lifelong member of ACE American Coaster Enthusiast which is a club dedicated to the enjoyment and preservation of roller coasters. He was also a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church of Center Valley.

Ray will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Mildred Guerrero of Hellertown; companion, Jeff Korteland of Hellertown; nephews, Dave Guerrero & his wife Gail, Daniel Guerrero & his wife Nanette and eight great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Allen Guerrero and his brother-in-law-David Guerrero, Sr.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park, in Bethlehem.
