Robert J. Zimmerman

Robert J. "Zimmy" Zimmerman, 62, of Bethlehem Twp., died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of James and Gertrude Konrad Zimmerman of Hellertown. Robert was the loving husband of Charlotte L. Kovacs Zimmerman. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past May.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel in the payroll department until his retirement in 2003. Robert also managed the BASD football stadium concession stands for 17 years. He was a life-long New York Yankees fan and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp. He was also a member of the Alamo Society.

Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Charlotte; parents, James and Gertrude, son, Rob Zimmerman of Bethlehem; his daughter, Lori, wife of Erin McDevitt of Indian Trial, NC; and his two grandsons, Liam & Sean McDevitt.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church.
