Adam E. Chickey

Adam E. Chickey, Jr., 71, of Bethlehem, passed away at home surrounded by his family on August 24, 2017. He was the son of the late Esther (Cope) and Adam E. Chickey, Sr. He was the loving husband of Marianne P. (Fidmik) Chickey. Adam proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After 35 dedicated years, he retired from the City of Bethlehem Water and Sewer Resources Department as a senior water controller. An avid sports fan, Adam loved watching the Cubs, Redskins, boxing and MMA fights. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the company of his cat Midnight and his fur grandkids; Angel and Briere.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Marianne Chickey; son, Brian Chickey and his wife, Francesca; daughter, Meg Chickey; brother, Joseph Chickey and sister, Tina Chickey. Adam was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Chickey and sister, Stephanie Chickey.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a memorial service to begin at 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
