Ahmet Aksu

Dr. Ahmet Aksu, 79, of Bethlehem died Thursday December 27, 2007 at Lehigh Valley Hospice 17th & Chew St. Allentown, Pa. He was born on September 30, 1928 in Bursa, Turkey son of the late Ali Aksu. He was the husband of Olga Drencko Aksu. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this past May 19th.

Ahmet was a physician of internal medicine and also an anesthesiologist for St. Lukes and Muhlenberg Medical Center. Since retiring from anesthesiology he opened a practice in internal medicine and was the medical director for Manor Care Health Services in Bethlehem.

He received his medical degree from N.Y.U. Medical School and specialized in anesthesiology and internal medicine at Columbia University.

He was very devoted to his family and was very caring to his friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, sons, Errol M. Aksu of Middletown, Enver Aksu of Lancaster, Kenan Aksu of Exton, 5 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters.

Services will be held 1PM on Wednesday January 2, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11am-1PM at the funeral home.
