Aida I. Flores

Aida I. Flores, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at St. Lukes Hospice House.

Born on September 1, 1954, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Marcelino and Ines (Rivera) Quinones.

A graduate of Liberty High Schools Class of 1973, Aida went on to enter the workforce. She spent ten years with American Bike, then went on to work for Hatfield Quality Meats, from which she retired in 2005.

An upbeat, outspoken, and free spirit, Aida was a friend to many, always wanting to help others. She found enjoyment in shopping, dining at restaurants, traveling, spending time at the shore, and visiting casinos.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Josue Flores, who passed away in 2017; and two brothers: Samuel and Angel Quinones.

Aida will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Noemi and Rebecca Cruz; two sisters: Betsy Santiago (Robert) and Norma Quinones (Israel Vazquez); one stepson: Joseph J. Flores; two granddaughters: Alexandra Richiez and Ashley Vasquez; and one great-granddaughter: Gianna Brown.

A viewing will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. A second viewing will be held, at the funeral home, on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem.

Arrangements are under the care of the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations in honor of Aida, may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
