Alfonse Manuel Debellis

Alfonse "Al" Manuel DeBellis, 79, of Bethlehem Township, PA passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. Born October 20, 1931 in Allentown he was the son of the late Lena Blahut and Nicholas DeBellis. He was married to Lois J. Carney DeBellis with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage this past February 27th.

Al worked for Lehigh Valley Railroad as an Inspector for 20 years. He worked for Flock Industries for 20 years from 1971 to 1991 as well. Al also worked part time for Burns Security. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miller Heights and the St. Francis Secular Fraternity.

Alfonse will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lois, sons, Edward Debellis, Stephen Debellis and wife Jill and Robert DeBellis and wife Mary, daughter, Kathleen Leotti, brothers, John Debellis and wife Mary Ann, Ernest DeBellis and wife Ethel and Nicholas DeBellis and wife Ellie, sisters, Florence wife of George Macasevich and Dolores wife of Frank Smith. He will also be remembered by his eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

SERVICES

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St. Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Al's name to the St. Francis Retreat House 3918 Chipman Road, Easton, PA 18045.
