Alfred Canto

Alfred Canto, 84, of Bethlehem passed away on Friday October 19, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. He was born on November 13, 1927 in Bethlehem, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Pinto) Canto. He was the husband of Irene (Jaworski) Canto.

Alfred worked as an inspector for Mack Trucks for 20 years retiring in 1998. He was a veteran in the US Army serving in Japan just after WWII.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene, step-son, Louis Varga and wife Wendy of Bethlehem, step- daughter, Jill Lutz wife of Scott of Kunkletown, brother Ferdy Canto of Bethlehem, nephew Joseph Canto and step-grandchildren, Lorren Lutz, and Anthony Varga.

A Prayer Service will be held 9:30am on Tuesday October 23, 2012 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10am at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. Calling hours will be held 8:30-9:30am Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
