Alice graduated from Liberty High School in 1944; she then attended Bethlehem Business College, graduating in 1945. She dedicated her life to her family and was very active in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice was a talented seamstress and was happy to make repairs to the equipment from the family business, Bethlehem Sporting Goods. She was a lifetime parishioner of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, and Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Harry; daughter, Karen Pavel and her husband, James of Sandy Springs, GA; two sons, Harry O. Tachovsky and his wife, Mary Catherine of Bethlehem and David J. Tachovsky and his wife, Ann of Emmaus; her brother, Joseph Kametz and wife, Elizabeth; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Kametz.
Services have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home and will be private. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 144 N 8th St, Allentown, PA 18101.
