Alvin H. Ripple

Alvin H. Ripple, 93, of Allentown, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was the son of Getha (Rittenhouse) and Andrew W. Ripple. He was the loving husband of the late Helen (Kulanko) Ripple.

Alvin proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing darts. He was a volunteer at Musikfest and Christkindlmarkt since their beginnings. Alvin was on the Hanover Township, Lehigh County Council and was a lifelong volunteer with the Han-Le-Co Fire Company.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Diane Sunny and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Nicole Wade, Richard Sunny, Derek Ripple and Laura Ripple and great-grandchildren, Kylie, Rachael, Henry, Ian and Luke. Alvin was preceded in death by his son, Gary Ripple, daughter in law Susan Ripple, a brother and a sister.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Han-Le-Co-Fire Company, 1001 Postal Rd. Allentown, PA 18109.
