Amelia Shelbo

Amelia Shelbo, 93, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at L.V. Hospital- Muhlenberg.

She was born in Bethlehem the daughter of the late Frank and Maria Compana Albarelli.

Amelia was preceded in death by her husband, Martin in 1967.

She retired as a clerk from Two Guys Dept. Store.

Amelia is survived by her loving son, Daniel Shelbo of Bethlehem; three Grandsons, Martin Shelbo husband of Kimberly; Daniel Shelbo, Jr. and Kevin Shelbo as well as five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Carl Albarelli husband of Cora; sister, Ellen Albarelli and sister-in-law Agnes Albarell all of Bethlehem.

She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Albarell.

Amelia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Miller Heights since it was founded in 1936 and she was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was a wonderful baker and was concerned with the well being of others before her own, often volunteering at the former Leader Nursing Center.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Friday April 11, 2008 from 9-10:15 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miller Heights. Rosary to be said at 8:30AM, prior to the calling period in the funeral home.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
