Andrew M. Resetar

Andrew M. Resetar, 72, of Hellertown, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Born in Bethlehem on August 3, 1943; he was the son of the late George and Helen (Drevenak) Resetar. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen R. (Mahoney) Resetar; they were married 52 years. Andy was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1961. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel then worked as an electrician for Muhlenberg College for 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War. Andy was an avid fisherman and hunter; he also coached and managed baseball and softball for Northwest Little League.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Ellen; son, Michael of Bethlehem; daughter, Michelle Sayenga (Mattheu) of Hellertown; brother, Leonard of Hellertown; grandchildren: Paige and Jonathan Phillips, and Taylor Resetar. He was predeceased by his sister, Helen Lakics and brother, George.

Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. An 8 p.m. funeral service will follow in the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, St. Lukes Home Hospice or the American Diabetes Association.
