Andrew Robert Pieszala, 77, of Bethlehem, formerly of Exeter, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2023 at his residence. He was the husband of Diane M. (Holland) Pieszala. Andy was born in Kingston on May 5, 1946, to the late Andrew B. and Mary (Yunik) Pieszala. He graduated from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre. Andy worked for 40 years as an Operation Manager for CertainTeed Corp, Mountain Top until retiring. A devoted Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady Perpetual Help, Bethlehem Twp.
Andy had an exuberance for life that was contagious to whomever surrounded him. He had a love for cooking good food (especially his Marinara Sauce) and an even greater love witnessing others enjoy it. He absolutely loved sports, and could be found rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Nittany Lions. Andy loved recruiting family and friends down to Happy Valley to tailgate and enjoy a good Penn State football game. Andy was a beloved “PopPop” by eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons. You could always find him down on the floor, playing with his grand babies, laughing and acting silly with them. No matter what circumstance life held, Andy was sure to greet it with a smile and a laugh. His personality was a halo of warmth to whomever he crossed paths with, and one that will certainly live on through his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren.
His family would like to thank Dr. Deborah Sundlof and her dedicated staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg for their compassionate care.
