Andy F. Pingyar

Andrew F. Pingyar, 75, of Bethlehem, PA went to be with his Lord on July 4, 2015. Born June 17, 1940 he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Katrinak) Pingyar.

He was a 1958 graduate of Liberty High School. Andy worked 30 years at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the Ingot Mould Foundry, achieving the welding rate of Welder “A”. He was given the nickname “Honest Andy” by his co-workers. Andy was a member of the National Sokols, lifetime member of the former Ss. Cyril and Methodious Catholic Church now Incarnation of Our Lord. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He is survived by his sons, Andrew F. Pingyar, Jr. and wife Dawn I. and Michael D. Pingyar, daughters, Maryann Pingyar- McManus, Michelle L. Pingyar and Tasha M. Cope and 10 grandchildren, Michael Jr., Danielle, Andrew III, Jacquelyn, Benjamin, Destini, Kelti, Evan, Elijah and Tyanna.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM and again Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Ss. Cyril and Methodious Cemetery with Military Honors.

Memorial contributions may be made in Andys name to Incarnation of Our Lord Parish or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
