Andy M. Watsula

February 28, 1955 — December 1, 2006

Andrew ?Andy? M. Watsula died on Friday December 1, 2006 at the VNA of St. Luke?s Hospice House after a 16 month struggle with non Hodgkin?s Lymphoma.

Andy was a Civil Engineer at PPL Utilities in Allentown since 1979. Prior to that he was employed by Allentown Testing Labs and the City of Philadelphia Water Department.

He was a 1973 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and graduated from Lehigh University in 1977.

Andy was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church where he coached basketball for many years and had also been CYO Treasurer.

Andy was a quiet, conscientious man who was an avid Beca, Lehigh, and Eagles fan.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Anna Matrishin Watsula.

Andy will be sadly missed by his three sons, Mike, Dan and Dave, his ex-wife and friend Linda Watsula who supported him through his long struggle, his brother Steve Watsula and his wife Betsy who provided Andy with much love and strength during his illness and his sister Annette Keck of Bethlehem.

Calling hours will be held from 6-9 PM on Monday December 4, 2006 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem and from 10-10:45 AM on Tuesday December 5, 2006 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem.

A Funeral Mass will be held in the church at 11AM following the viewing.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem

In lieu of flowers please send contributions to Bethlehem Catholic High School Development Office 2133 Madison Ave. Bethlehem PA 18017 to provide a memorial scholarship in Andy?s name or to benefit research for a cure of non-Hodgkin?s lymphoma c/o the funeral home.
