Angel L. Rodriguez

Angel L. “Louie” Rodriguez, 82, of Bethlehem, Pa. passed away peacefully on Saturday July 5, 2014 at the VA Community Living Center, Wilkes Barre, Pa. He was born June 8, 1932 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico: he was the son of the late Ines and Santos (Rodriguez) Rodriguez. He was a retired employee of the former Bethlehem Steel and a US Army Corp veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bethlehem, Pa. Louie was an animal lover and his favorite pastime was working on cars and making coffee for his local church. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Louie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nilda Rodriguez, son Albert “Louis” Rodriguez of Allentown, Pa., daughter, Marie Savakinas and husband Richard of Mechanicsburg, Pa., granddaughter, Nicole V. Savakinas, brother Benjamin Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, and sister, Delia Rodriguez of Puerto Rico. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ismael, Julio, and Raphael.

By his request, services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
