Angelina Tamburo

Angelina Tamburo, 99, of Bethlehem passed away on Sunday January 20, 2013 at the Mary Ellen Convalescent Nursing Home in Hellertown. She was born on August 21, 1913 in Ornelli, NY., daughter of the late Domenic and Concetta (DeAngelis) Lisi.

Angelina was a sewing machine operator for the former Lehigh Dress Co. for 15 years retiring in 1973. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Alfonso Tamburo and wife Gail of Enfield, Maine,, and sister, Lina Bompiani of Italy, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Luigi, a daughter, Lidia Cavalli,of Bethlehem, a brother Angelo Lisi, a brother Thomas Lisi, a brother Riziero Lisi and, a sister Maria Aversa of Italy.

A prayer service will be held 9:30am Thursday January 24, 2013 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. 18020. A viewing will held from 7-9pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
