Angeline C. Stempo

Angeline C. Stempo, 83, of Bethlehem, died Sunday December 16, 2007, at Manor Care Health Services, Bethlehem, under the care of Heartland Hospice. Born, January 24, 1924, in Bethlehem; she was the daughter of the late Battista and Lucia Brita Catalanotti. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Michael Stempo. They were married June 14, 1952 at Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary, Bethlehem, by Father Pugliese.

Angeline was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1942, and of Bethlehem Business College. She was employed by the Bethlehem Steel as a secretary in the Central Tool Division. She was also employed by the Bethlehem Area School District as a noon aid at the Edgeboro Grade School. She was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary, Bethlehem, and the Beethoven Mannerchor.

Survivors: husband, Michael of Bethlehem; son, Michael J. Stempo and wife Laurie of Bethlehem; daughter, Monica Ryan of Catasauqua; sisters, Colleen Zito of Bethlehem and Lucy Wagner of Fountain Hill; grandchildren, Amanda, John, and Eric Stempo and Kelly Ryan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Catalanotti.
