Ann Byczynski, 93, of Bethlehem died on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Above & Beyond Mountain View. She was born January 7, 1921 in Manchester, England; one of seven children to the late Edward and Ann McMahon Clare.
She met her late husband of 58 years, John Joseph Byczynski, while he was serving in England during WWII. They married February 23, 1946 at St. Margaret Mary Church in Moston, England. Following Johns end of military service they moved to the United States where they lived in Essex and Parkville, MD. In 1967, they moved to Bethlehem, PA. Ann was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and volunteered her time for Meals on Wheels.
Ann dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and will be dearly missed by her son, Stuart Byczynski of Virginia; daughters, Joanne Emge, wife of Ronald Emge of Falling Waters, WV; Lynn Byczynski, wife of Dan Nagengast of Lawrence, KS and Christine Lipsky, wife of Ted Lipsky, Jr. of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Ronald Emge, Jr.; Corinna Lipsky Shive; Dana Lipsky Boylan; Will Nagengast and Laurel Nagengast; great grandchildren, Brooke, Blake and Brady Emge and Alexis Shive and her sister Iris Pleasant of Manchester England.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
