Ann Filaseta

November 21, 1928 — January 17, 2014

Ann Filaseta, 85, of Freemansburg, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 17, 2014. She was born November 21, 1928 in Allentown, daughter of the late Constantine and Mary (Seveik) Kutz. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bartholomew J. “Chick” Filaseta.

Ann worked as an office manager for Pantry Pride and Acme. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp. Ann will be lovingly remembered for her sweet and caring spirit, her sense of humor, love of animals and unyielding independence. Ann enjoyed her flea markets and garage sales and going to the casino every Wednesday for as long as she was able.

Ann will be dearly missed by her son, Robert J. Filaseta and his wife, Elizabeth of Bethlehem Twp.; daughters, Jane Ashner and her husband Keith of Coopersburg; Nancy Bedics and her husband Dennis of Bethlehem and Anna Marie Luchini and her husband Charles of Bethlehem. She is also survived by her step daughter Antoinette Reiss of Hellertown, seven grandchildren, Joseph, Susan, Marc, Christina, Ryan, Charles and Lisa and six great grandchildren, Carly, Joseph, Savannah, McKensie, Anthony and Michael. The family would like to give a special thank you to Mary Ann Gufrovich for all of her help and support.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St. Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 9-10 am on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lukes Hospice, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 200 Bethlehem, PA 18017.
