Ann Marie Motko

April 6, 1940 — May 26, 2010

Ann Marie Motko, 70, of Bethlehem, was called home to our Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. She was born in Allentown; the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Anthony Motko.

Ann Marie was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, formerly Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church where she served as the treasurer of the Parish Activities Group and also served as the Parish Secretary since August 20, 1992.

Ann Marie was previously employed at Sacred Heart Hospital in the Medical Record Department as a Medical Record Technician from 1964-1991.

She was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, Assembly 78, where she served as the Vice-President/Recording Secretary and was a member of Group Ten of the Slovak Catholic Sokols serving as Recording Secretary from 2004-2009. In addition, she was a member of the Ladies Pennsylvania Slovak Catholic Union, Branch 83; member of the Slovak Catholic Federation and a member of the Cardinal Tomko Chapter of the Slovak Catholic Federation.

Ann Marie will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Sister Loretta Motko, O.S.F a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis Monocacy Manor, Bethlehem; Barbara, wife of Allan Holtz of Allentown; brothers, Joseph Motko and his wife, Kathy, of Bethlehem; Michael Motko and his wife, Sherry, of Surprise, AZ; nephew, Thomas Motko of Bethlehem; nieces, Marie Holtz and Laura Holtz of Seattle, WA; Kristine McGowan and her husband, Robert, of Callaway, VA; Lori Motko of Alameda, CA; grandniece and grandnephew, Holly and Trevor McGowan.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas A. Motko who died on November 8, 1961 as a result of an airplane crash in Richmond, VA.

Services: A visitation will be held, this evening from 6-9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem and again on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 8-9:15 a.m. at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 a.m.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the School Sisters of St. Francis, 395 Bridle Path Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network 2141 Rosecrans Ave. Suite 7000 El Segundo, CA 90245.
