Anna Walchonski

February 3, 1928 — May 13, 2024

The amazing Anna N. Walchonski, 96, of Collegeville, Pa, formerly of Bethlehem passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday May 13, 2024, at Providence Place in Collegeville surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Centralia, PA, the daughter of the late John and Julia (Erdock) Nottage. Anna was married for almost 73 years to the love of her life, the late Charles Walchonski. Anna was a faithful member of St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary and choir and best known for her delicious pierogies and halupki. She worked for the First National Bank in Centralia and Union Bank & Trust in Bethlehem. She also worked for Durkee Foods, Just Born Candies and was a bridal consultant in the Bethlehem area. Anna supported many groups at St. Anne Church in Bethlehem and was an active volunteer at New Bethany Ministries for over 20 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Charles Stevens (Zan), Joseph Stevens and Michael Walchonski (Natalie), daughters, Mary Diane Darby and Carol Cofer (Harold), and sister, Margie Malick. Anna was known as Mia, Mimi and Mima and adored by her 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and held a special place in her heart over the years for all her grand-animals. She was predeceased by brothers, John Nottage and Michael Nottage and a sister Julia Anderson.

A public viewing will be held Monday May 20th at 11:00AM at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Divine Liturgy at 12:00PM. The burial will be held at St. Josaphat's Cemetery in Lower Saucon Twp.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
