Anna A. Adamcik

February 25, 1916 — January 18, 2011

Anna A. Adamcik, 94, of Bethlehem died on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Country Meadows.

She was born February 25, 1916 in Lebanon, PA; the daughter of the late Fabian and Helen Smolko Bednar.

Anna was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 64 years, Frank M. Adamcik.

She worked for A.G. Baba Sports Wear as a Presser for 20 years and later for Schobel Brothers for 7 years.

Anna was a parishioner of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, Bethlehem. She was a member of the St. Francis Guild and the Altar and Rosary Society. Anna was also a member and past treasurer of the Ladies Pennsylvania Slovak Catholic Union Branch #83.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Frank S. Adamcik and his wife, Marie of Allentown and Joseph G. Adamcik and his wife, Barbara of Bethlehem; her daughter, Rose Marie Beach of Bethlehem Twp., as well as her brother, Andrew Bednar of Bethlehem; her seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Anna was also preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Stefan Bednar and her son-in-law Robert Beach.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January, 21, 2011 from 6-8 PM with a candle ceremony to celebrate Anna?s life, 7 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. A viewing will be held at the church from 9-10AM.

Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
