Anna Bartakovits Mellin

Anna M. Kolchin Bartakovits Mellin, 91, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's in Lower Saucon Twp., PA.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Eva Woytovich Kolchin. She was the widow of Louis C. Bartakovits and Ernest Mellin.

Anna was employed by the former Hellertown Manufacturing Co. in the salvage department as a reinspector retiring in 1977 after 26 years of service. She was a member of St. Theresa of the Child of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Senior Citizens Group. Anna loved baseball, especially the Phillies. She also enjoyed, crafts, fishing, bowling. She loved children, especially her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Anna will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Antoinette Lebeduik of Bethlehem Twp; Violet Bartakovits of New Port Richey, FL; a brother John Kolchin of Dallas, PA; and all of her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, Inc.245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 8:30 -9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of the Child of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1408 Easton Rd., Hellertown, PA 18055.
