Anna Becker Sokalsky

Anna Ridgick Becker Sokalsky, 82, of Bethlehem died Tuesday, February 19, 2008.

Born October 25, 1925 in Windber, PA she was the daughter of the late Anna Dayock and Michael Ridgick. She was married to the late Francis Michael Becker.

Anna was very proud of her work for the Bethlehem Steel during WWII. She later worked for the former Diamond Blouse Company and then later for the Baba Manufacturing Company both in Bethlehem. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Deborah Roeder and husband E. Robert Roeder of Bethlehem, Donna Yenca wife of the late James Yenca of Jim Thorpe. Anna loved her grandchildren; Jason and wife Jennifer Roeder and Ryan Roeder, Sarah wife of Robert Risley, James and Jacob Yenca. Anna also had two great grandchildren; John and Ryan Roeder. Anna is also survived by her sister Mary Zamadics, brothers; Michael and Dennis Ridgick.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Ridgick, sisters; Dorothy Hrusovsky and Helen Wagner.

A viewing will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 9-10:30 AM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday February 23, 2008, at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
