Anna Catherine Mcateer

Anna Catherine McAteer, 84, of Northampton, died on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born May 31, 1933 in Bronx, NY; daughter of the late John and Catherine (Buckley) Mullins. Anna is survived by her husband, James R. McAteer.

Anna worked as a waitress, an executive assistant for GM, in real estate, for the Orange County Child Services and as a co-owner of a The UPS Store. She volunteered her time for the Moffett Library in Washingtonville, NY and was a member of the Red Hat Club. Anna served as a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Parish in Monroe, NY. She was well known as a gracious host and a wonderful cook.

Anna will be dearly missed by her family; husband, James; children, James D. and his wife, Susan of Fairfield, CT; Kevin and his wife, Celeste of Florida, NY and Colleen Babcock of New Windsor, NY; her brothers, Martin Mullins and his wife, Joan of Hudson, FL; and Bill Mullins and his wife, Mary of Northampton, PA; grandchildren, James; Gina; Matthew; Christopher; Brian; John; Sean; and great grandchildren, Madison and Collin. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Cooper and brothers, Donald; Jack; and Thomas.

A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the church. A burial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Florida, NY.
