Anna Cottage

Anna Cottage, 86, of Bethlehem passed away Sunday March 9, 2014 at her residence. She was born on February 6, 1928 in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Sever) Persa. She was the wife of the late Michael G. Cottage.

Anna worked in the general services restaurant department for Bethlehem Steel for 37 years retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Johns Windish Lutheran Church, served on the church council, lector and a member of the choir. She was past president of the Altar Society. Anna was a member of the Beethoven Mannerchor Chorus, Musical Arts Chorus of Easton, and the NCC Chorus. She volunteered for A.A.of V.I. for the Blind. She received the Point of Light Award from George H.W. Bush which recognizes individuals who make a difference in their communities. Anna graduated from Liberty High School Class of 1946.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Timothy B. Cottage and wife Andrea Eyre of Duvall, WA, sister, Helen Vernosky of Allentown, grandchildren, Brian, Scott, Jason, Ned, Ruth and Katlin Cottage, and 4 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sons, Gary and Richard Cottage, brothers, William, John, Frank, Alex, Steve, and Bela Persa, and sister, Mary Hoch.

A Funeral Service will be held 11am Saturday March 22, 2014 at St. Johns Windish Lutheran Church 617 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10-11am at the church. Burial will be held 10am Monday March 24, 2014 at Union Cemetery in Hellertown.
