Anna Elizabeth Torok, 88, of Hellertown, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem.
She was born May 6, 1922; the daughter of the late John and Mary Elizabeth Bacak Shivok-Kovach.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Frank E. Torok.
Doing her part during World War II, Anna assembled electronics for Roller-Smith and Western Electric. Later, Anna worked as a Stanley Home Products Representative for 25 years.
She was a devout parishioner of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem since 1956.
Anna will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Francine A. Torok-Williams and her husband Larry of Hellertown and Debra Torok of Chester County; her sons, Frank E. Torok II of Zionsville and his wife JoAnn and David Torok of Washington, DC as well as her sister Helen T. Shivok of Hellertown. She will also be dearly missed by three grandchildren, Frank Torok III, Stephanie Williams and Alexander Torok and her nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her son, Joseph Torok; her sister, Mary Ferencin and her brothers, John and Michael Shivok and Martin, Paul and John Kovach.
Anna took pride in her home and loved gardening. In her free time, Anna also enjoyed making ceramics, listening to music and dancing. She was especially fond of the time she spent every year at the Jersey Shore with her family.
Anna's family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 8:30-9:30 AM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10 AM at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
