Anna Pavlo of Bethlehem passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Born in Coplay in 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Lamm) Kalch. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Pavlo, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage until his death in 2011.

Anna went to St. Peters Church and school. She worked at the Maples Restaurant for many years and then at the famous Susans Gourmet Shop until retiring. In the early years she was a Den Mother, volunteered at St. Elizabeths lunch program, and Spring Garden schools reading program.

Anna was a member of St. Annes Church(Bethlehem) for over 60 years and a member of their Sodality and choir. She was also a member of the First Catholic Ladies Slovak Association.

Anna was an accomplished cook and baker. She was famous for her chocolate cake, nut tassies, and so much more.

Anna is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Catherine Policare of Vero Beach, FL (fianc, John), sons Joseph Pavlo (Mary Kay) and Thomas Pavlo (Marybeth) and daughter, Regina Richter, all of Bethlehem. Grandchildren, Joseph Pavlo (Tabitha), Maria Watty (Alex), Stephen Richter (Annie), and Anthony Richter. Great Grandchildren Olivia and Conor Joseph Watty, Cassidy Pavlo, and Ella Richter. Also many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Anna is predeceased by daughter-in-law, Sherri Pavlo, and sisters, Madge Garrison and Theresa Kurtz.

Annas fondest wish was to be on the Angel Choir in Heaven and sing Stille Nacht in German at Christmas time.

Services: A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 6-8 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A calling hour will be held Monday from 10:30-11:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 E. Washington Ave., Bethlehem. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the School Sisters of St. Francis Retirement Fund, 395 Bridle Path Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017.
