Anna Hontz Bensinger

Anna Hontz Bensinger, 97, of Bethlehem passed away Friday December 21, 2012 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. She was born on December 28, 1914 in Catasauqua, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Boyle) Hontz. She was the wife of the late Harry Bensinger Sr.

Anna was a secretary for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health for 24 years. She was also the oldest parishioner at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Harry Charles Bensinger Jr. of Bethlehem, daughters, Mary Anne Gearing of Pine Beach, N.J., and Rita Hartleroad of West Chester, Pa., 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers Charles and Gerald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday December 28, 2012 at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. No calling hours. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
