Anna K. Kurtz

Anna K. Kurtz, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the St. Lukes Hospice House. She was born on June 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Anna M. (Vasko) and Michael Kacmar. She was the loving wife for 50 years of the late Michael J. Kurtz.

Anna was a devoted member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem. For 26 years, Anna worked at the Bethlehem Steel Co. and later at the Bethlehem School District and the Eaton Corporation. She was proud of her Slovak heritage and enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, playing the accordion during the holidays, traveling with her husband and friends and volunteering at church and with the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, David Kurtz and his wife Lynn and Gary Kurtz and his wife Dale; grandchildren, Anna, and Danil. She was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Smolko and brothers, Paul Kacmar, Joseph Kacmar and Michael Kacmar.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 10-11 A.M. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 A.M. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
