Anna M. Pratka

Anna Marie Veronica Pratka, 93, of Bethlehem died Monday, October 4, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital- Fountain Hill Campus. Born in Trumbauersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor and Joseph Grzegorzewicz. She was married to Peter Pratka with whom she celebrated 49 years of marriage until his death on March 28, 2002.

Prior to starting a family Anna worked in the ribbon mills in Quakertown. After the birth of her first daughter, Anna dedicated herself to raising her family. Anna was a very kind and loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church where she was a pierogi maker for over 50 years. She loved dancing, especially to polka music.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Rosemary Pratka of Bethlehem and Susan Irelan of Allentown, grandchildren, Julia and Michael Irelan of Allentown, and a brother, Joseph Grey of Quakertown. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Grey and Frank Grey, and sisters, Stella Bracalente, Jenny Gorchinsky, and Eleanor Myers.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by an Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 10 AM at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 1140 Johnston Dr., Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
