Anna Mae Lapausky, 88, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Manor Care.
She was born December 15, 1922 in Dunmore, PA; a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Michaeli Devine.
Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Stephen Lapausky.
Earlier, Anna Mae worked for G.C. Murphy and Co. on 3rd St. in Bethlehem. She was a dedicated volunteer for many groups and organizations, which included serving as an area Girl Scout Leader. Anna Mae was also an avid bowler.
She was a parishioner of former St. John Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Anna Mae was also a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols.
Anna Mae will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ann Marie Gonsalves of Hellertown and Ellen Katrick of Bethlehem; her son, Stephen Lapausky of Bethlehem as well as her sister, Lois Flynn of Dunmore and her brother Frank Devine of Wappingers Falls, NY. She will also be dearly missed by her five grandchildren, Christine Basilone Treolo, Susan Basilione Paulsen, Timothy Schaffer, Pamela Gonsalves and Stephanie Katrick and two great granddaughters, Lauren Treolo and Sarah Paulsen.
Anna Mae was also predeceased by three brothers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
Friends may call on Friday May 6, 2011 from 9-10 AM at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 10 AM in the church.
Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
