Anna R. Dugan

Anna R. Dugan, 87, of Bethlehem, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Anna Cupinka Sabota. She was the loving wife of the late Edward M. Dugan.

Anna worked as a sales clerk at the former Orr's Department Store and the former Paul's Stationary. She was a member of Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church of Bethlehem and the church's sodality and senior citizen's club. She was a member of Zenska Jednota First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She volunteered for the American Heart Association and the City of Bethlehem Tourism. Anna tutored English as a second language. She also made rosaries for Our Ladies Rosary Makers which were distributed throughout the world.

Anna will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Edward M. Dugan of Bethlehem;

James Dugan & his wife Regina of Lower Nazareth; Peter O. Dugan & his wife Kathleen of Bethlehem; daughters, Sheila, wife of John Clark of Philadelphia; Anne Marie, wife of Wayne Ferencin of Bethlehem; sisters, Agnes Kuruc of Bethlehem; Helen Tysell of Southfield, MI; Dorothy Sabota of Bethlehem; Eleanor Kravatz and husband Joseph of Bethlehem; sisters-in-law, Betty & Rose Sabota of Bethlehem; her 11 grandchildren, Natalie, Angela, Alison, Michael, Stephen, Erin, Patrick, Matthew, Ryan, Alex & Kyle and her two great-grandchildren, Evan & Emma. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Stephen, Joseph & George Sabota and her sister, Mary Schneider.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 730 West Broad St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. in the church. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
