Anna T. Blanar

Anna T. Blanar, 90 of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Sikora) Bucko and wife of the late Francis Blanar who died in 2005. They were married 57 years. She was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, formerly Ss. Cyril and Methodius, where she made noodles and was active in the senior group. She was also part of the St. Stanislaus perogie team. She was an avid bowler, bingo player and Phillies fan and a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union and the Slovak Gymnastic Union Sokol.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Leonard of Bethlehem, Gregory and wife, Kathy of Marietta, GA, Francis and wife, Paulette of Fountain Hill, Edward and wife, Tammy of El Mirage, AZ; grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, Michael, Brian, Melony, Patrick and Nicole; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen and Andrew; sisters, Mary, Elizabeth and Virginia; and her granddaughter, Kathryn Blanar.

Services: Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, on Sunday May 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at the Incarnation of Our Lord Church, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, 18015. Burial will be at the Ss. Cryril and Methodius Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the church or the Kathryn Blanar Memorial Scholarship Fund, sent in c/o Bethlehem Catholic High School, 2133 Madison Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017.
