Anne D. (Ulrich) Ardinger, 87, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully in her home in the presence of her family on November 18, 2018. She was born May 15, 1931, in Bethlehem, and was a daughter of the late Thomas C. Sr. and Mary B. (Foley) Ulrich. Anne was a devoted and loving wife to husband, John “Jack,” whom she married at Ss. Simon and Jude Church in Bethlehem. They shared 57 wonderful years of marriage and 5 children and 6 grandchildren together.
Anne graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1949 where she won the home economics award for her class. She worked as a keypunch operator at Bethlehem Steel prior to starting her family. After raising her children, she went back to work at Goosey Gander in Bethlehem Township for 21 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Miller Heights. Anne was exceptionally committed to her family. She established many traditions over the years, her favorite of which was her Saturday night home-cooked meals. These nights accommodated as many friends as you could bring and concluded with competitive board games. She absolutely loved the holidays--from hiding Easter eggs, giving thoughtful Christmas ornaments, baking delicious treats, shopping on Black Friday, and searching for the perfect Christmas tree. Anne also enjoyed family summer vacations to Ocean City, Maryland. And, wherever she went, she made sure to always have her pink camera on hand to capture special memories and was proud of every photo she took.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Janice Keppel (Paul), Mary Beach (Robert), sons, Michael Ardinger and Brian Ardinger, daughter-in-law, Lynn Ardinger-Stenlake (Glenn), grandchildren, Sarah Keppel and Patrick Keppel, Chelsea Welk (Tyler) and Robert Beach, Tyler Ardinger and Jordan Ardinger, and sisters-in-law, Shirley Ulrich and Elfriede Ulrich. She was predeceased by a son, James Ardinger, a sister Mary Ellen Ulrich, and brothers, John and Thomas Ulrich.
