Anne E. Donaher

Anne E .McKenna Donaher, 89, of Bethlehem died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. Born August 8, 1921 in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Kenny and Francis J. McKenna. She was married to the late Charles M. Donaher.

Anne enjoyed working with her husband as owners of McGinty's Caf in Philadelphia. Once she and her husband moved to Bethlehem she worked for the former Union Bank and Trust as mortgage secretary, retiring after 20 years of service. Anne was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Anne loved to watch the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. She dedicated herself to her family and especially her two grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dean Donaher and wife Diane of Bethlehem, sister, Elizabeth Kennelly of Philadelphia, brother, James F. McKenna of Miami, brother-in-law, Edward J. Donaher and wife Helen of Bethlehem. "Giam" will be sadly missed by her two grandchildren, Darah and Drew and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Marie Dillon.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 pm. A calling period will be held Friday, September 24, 2010 in the funeral home from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. Fourth St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Anne's name to the church.
