Anne Rose Brandafi

Anne Rose Brandafi, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a resident of Bethlehem most of her life, passed away to eternal life at the age of 99 years, leaving behind a legacy of wonderful memories and acts of love and kindness.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Maureen Ann Cort and her partner, William Fitzpatrick of Bethlehem, PA, with whom she resided; daughter Nancy Ann Thomas, married to Mark Alan Thomas, Sr. of Durham, NC; six grandchildren: Jason and Brian Cort, Ann and Susan DeLazaro, Mark Jr. and Stephen Thomas; seven great-grandchildren: Emma, Madelyn, Brewer, Allison, Julia, and Dylan Cort, Odin DeLazaro-Potemski; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Anne was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Stephen Joseph Brandafi, and her daughter, Barbara Ann DeLazaro, and son-in-law, Robert DeLazaro. Anne was one of seven children of Rose and John Gombosi. She was predeceased by all of her siblings: Margaret Horvath, Mary (Molly) Horvath, Stephen Gombosi, Helen Devers, Louis Gombosi, and John Gombosi.

Anne graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School and was a life-long member of St. Josephs Windish Catholic Church. She was very proud of her Windish heritage. Most recently, Anne was a member of St. Annes Church of Bethlehem. Anne will be remembered as a kind, loving, humorous, dependable person who regarded her family and friends as the treasures of her life.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to St. Lukes Hospice, 240 Union Station Plaza, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
