Anthony D. Defrancisco

Anthony "Tony D". DeFrancisco , 81 of Bethlehem died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday August 21, 2010 at his residence. He was born on February 27, 1929 in Bethlehem son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Mark DeFrancisco. He was the husband of the late Antoinette Dolly Villani DeFrancisco and grandfather of the late Matthew Fahey.

Tony D. was a layout operator for the former Western Electric for 40 years. retiring in 1987. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1950-1952. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bethlehem Twp. Tony D graduated from Liberty High School in 1947. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed shuffle board, bocce ball, walks and going to garage sales. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. His home was always open to his family and friends and always looked for the best in everybody.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Anthony J. DeFrancisco and wife Michele of Hanover Twp., and James DeFrancisco and wife Lisa of Bethlehem, daughters, Nancy wife of Michael Fahey of Bethlehem, and Joanne Jacko of Bethlehem Twp. , brother Angelo of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Michael, Rob, Stevie, Jimmy, Chelsea, Nina and Olivia.

He was also predeceased by sisters, Mary and Lena, and brothers John, and Elmer.

Services will be held 10:15AM Wednesday August 25, 2010 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. 18020. Calling hours are from 8AM-10:15AM Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
