Anthony J. Klein

Anthony J. Klein, 87, of Easton, PA passed on to his new life with Jesus in heaven on Saturday, May 8, 2021.

Anthony was born on December 31, 1933 to Anthony and Rozalia (Hercek) Klein of Bethlehem. He attended Liberty High School, Moravian College, and the Navys Officer Candidate School, after which he married his lifelong sweetheart Dorothy M. (Feher) Klein and the two traveled across the county to San Diego, CA where they started their life together. After leaving active duty, where he had served as liaison officer for the motion picture studios, he remained in the Naval Reserves and retired as Commander.

After returning to Allentown, Anthony owned and operated Dot & Tonys bar and restaurant for over 15 years with Dorothy. After selling their successful business, Anthony took a managerial position with Schneider Manufacturing in Allentown; after which he began a career as a real estate agent and instructor for Denny Whites real estate school until he retired.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; his daughters Deborah (wife of William) Gruver, Cynthia (wife of Carl) Lucci; grandchildren Laura Gruver, Amy (wife of Michael) Klotz, Christine (wife of Austin) Wesner, Jillian (wife of Thomas) Derhammer, James Gruver; and great-grandchildren Elliott and Jacob Klotz; Riley and Aidan Gallagher; Isabella, Mason, Georgia and Blaise Derhammer. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Klein.

A viewing will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial starting immediately following at St. Theresas Church of the Child Jesus with interment at Holy Savior Cemetery.
