Anthony M. Morganelli

Anthony "Tony" M. Morganelli, 89, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem.

Born June 13, 1918 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Bambina Servodio and Angelo Morganelli. He was married to Mary Dobish Morganelli, with whom he would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this June.

Anthony worked at the former Bethlehem Steel with the blast furnaces. After retiring from the Bethlehem Steel he went on to work for the City of Bethlehem with the Street Department. Anthony was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He loved fishing, cooking, going to the casinos and his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary, son, Anthony Morganelli and wife Patricia of Northampton, daughter, Barbara Kinney of Bangor, sisters; Rose Herceg and Angeline Rieger both are in Bethlehem. He will also be remembered by his 5 grandchildren; Lisa, John, Scott, Samantha, Joseph and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers; John, Joseph, and Michael Morganelli and one sister Theresa Buddock.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held Friday, April 18, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018, from 9-11 AM. A service will be held in the funeral home at 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary, 826 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015, at 11:30 AM.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Anthony's name to Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's 1510 Valley Center Parkway-St. 200 Bethlehem, PA 18017.
